This painting takes us into the forest, to realms where mystery resides; a place where the unknown and darkness take light.
It is a place where perspective can have no boundaries, a place of separation and convergence. The trees, spindly branches, bark patterns, wooded alleyways guide us into our own textured layers. The bark reveals the trees’ story; its history is told in the markings, color and texture.
Nature’s forms, powerful and emotive, take us outside of ourselves, affecting how we connect to the world. The forms found beneath, around, within, and through what is obvious, are sometimes the most intriguing. Their beauty lies in their mystery, what is on the horizon, and the infinite possibilities they hold for us.
